Would you believe?

Westminster is my University of choice to study fashion Design this year. At the moment i am writing an essay for my current course titled : 'Fashion Vs. Fine art: An exploration into the intertwining of two areas of the arts through modern technology and ideas.' I was researching this theory of the link between fine art and fashion and came across the name Andrew Groves as a theatrical fashion designer of the 1990's. I love his work and the way it reminds me of early McQueen and his 'enfant terrible' image in the fashion industry at that time. Groves actually had a model appear to set fire to herself in the autumn/winter 1998 show to hilight the political issues in Northern Ireland at that time.

Further Research into Andrew Groves has lead me to an enlightening piece of information. He is infact the director of the BA Fashion Design course at Westminster! The plot thickens.. is also from Maidstone the town next to of which I study in at The University of The Arts rochester.

Researching is a very important tool. As is a certain element of chance. Lesson learnt.
